The goal of this unit is to reinforce literary themes studied throughout the year through the creation of a “Universal Theme” board game.
Students select a theme, and focus on conveying setting, mood, tone, conflict, and resolution on the game board. Students learn about collage techniques by studying the work of collage artist Romare Bearden, and use this knowledge in the creation of their game boards.
