What We Do

Arts Every Day has emerged as a leading voice of advocacy actively working towards equity and access for all Baltimore City Schools students. Our advocacy efforts have been well received at the district, City government, and state level. Here is just a glimpse of what Arts Every Day accomplished in 2016:

  • Provided over $180,000 in funding for arts programs, teacher professional development, and staff support to 40 schools
  • Leveraged 2,062 free student tickets and 24 free buses through partnerships with cultural institutions citywide
  • Collaboratively organized 100+  students, parents, educators, and arts advocates to attend the Baltimore Arts Education Town Hall meeting at Creative Alliance
  • Convened over 150 youth, students, arts advocates, artists, and the public for student exhibits and showcases
  • Connected teachers district-wide to arts organizations through educator events hosted by The Kennedy Center, Port Discovery Children’s Museum, and Enoch Pratt Free Library
  • Organized student art shows at The Walters Art Museum and The Motor House exhibiting over 300 individual pieces of artwork
  • Engaged over 500 students and parents through family art events and outreach
