We invite all Baltimore City Public Schools to apply to Arts Every Day’s Schools Program!

The goal of the Arts Every Day’s Schools Program is to support arts education, arts integration, and access to arts experiences across all grade levels. We work in close partnership with Baltimore City Public Schools, Maryland State Department of Education, and a large network of museums, theaters, cultural institutions, and teaching artists.

2019-20 Partner Schools Will Receive:

– Individualized planning and in-school professional development to support arts-integrated instruction$6-$10 per student (based on approved Stage) to support access to teaching artists and cultural institutions

– Opportunities for professional development throughout the school year hosted by a variety of artists, museums, and cultural organizations

– Opportunities for FREE and discounted field trips and arts experiences

– Opportunities for additional funding toward large-scale arts projects or funded collaborative arts projects

All Schools Program Applicant Requirements:

Certified Arts Instructor: 
Schools must have at minimum, a .5 certified arts teacher in one of the 4 art forms- visual art, music, theater, dance. (Schools that do not have a certified arts teacher teaching art on staff are not eligible for partnership.)

Administrative Commitment to Arts Integration Implementation: 
Principals must demonstrate support for the arts and the implementation of arts integration by submitting a letter of support and readiness, participating in an interview, and including narrative examples of how the arts are a priority. Please submit your letter to info@artseveryday.org, subject line “2019-2020 SchoolsProgram Letter of Support.”

Arts Integration Coach: 
Each school must identify a teacher leader to serve as the Arts Integration Coach. This teacher will be expected to serve as the leader of arts integration implementation in your school, be the primary point of contact, manage documentation, planning, and an online account for scheduling arts experiences funded by Arts Every Day.

Arts Integration Co-Coach:
This year, AED is requiring each Partner School to designate a teacher who will serve to assist and support the Arts Integration Coach in the implementation of the Schools Program and arts integration initiative.

Arts Integration Summer Intensive Participation: 
At least one (1) representative from your school is required to attend the Arts Every Day two-day professional development on August 5-6, 2019 from 8:30AM-3:30PM.
