Learn how the next generation of Baltimore’s artists and leaders are harnessing the power of creativity to tell their stories with musical performances and art making. As part of the festivities, Baltimore School for the Arts theater students will present Behind the Façade, a program of original monologues performed in 1 West Mount Vernon Place that bring to life the range of people, enslaved and free, who made Mount Vernon their home in the years before and after the Civil War.

Join Arts Every Day and the Coordinator of Fine Arts from Baltimore City Public Schools at Union Craft Brewing, Wednesday, May 1 from 4:00 pm – 6:00 pm to learn about potential pathways to become a certified visual art, music, theatre, or dance teacher. Hang out with other prospective arts teachers in a relaxed environment and get your questions answered!

Baltimore City is hiring 40+ arts educators for the coming school year and we want you to have the information you need to see if City Schools is the right choice for you! We are looking for certified arts educators and candidates with at least 30 credits in an arts discipline and a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree. Music Ed Remix @ WTMD

Sponsored by MECU, Music Ed Remix is a program that enables local musicians to collaborate with Baltimore City Public School students to create original compositions and record them at WTMD Studios in Towson on May 8, 2019 from 6 to 8pm.  Come see the original works performed in person at WTMD or tune in at 89.7 FM from 6-8pm on May 8th!
